Deseree's clairvoyant psychic ability was gifted to her 18 years ago, almost instantaneously.  Her disbelief in anything mystical was shaken as information poured through her to others. She grew up in a deeply religious family, but as an adult she left her religion and found she was agnostic and a nonbeliever.  
When she first received this "gift" it was confusing and challenged Deseree to accept that love and "source" have always had a deep connection to her. There wasn't much to decide, as she knew this gift was to be a service for others.
